Welcome to the Funny Farm!Woolly Hands has evolved from my addiction to natural fibers, and my curiosity to see what can be made from them. I started with two sweet Angora rabbits, then added a momma, and then 5 babies, now grown. They provide me with the softest, warmest fiber that I have mills spin into lovely yarns. After years or dreaming about my own flock, I now have 3 sweet Shetland sheep, and look forward to their fleeces each spring. After so many years with the miniature sheep I create, my fiber dreams are being fulfilled. Now I just have to master that spinning wheel!
~ Bea (aka The Farmer) ~ The farmer is now returning to full time emersion into the natural fiber world. The Shetlands produce soft, airy fiber, the Angoras make their contribution of velvety, warm fluff, and the spinning wheel is becoming my friend. So much to learn and explore. While I won't be regularly updating the site, please contact me should you have a special project in mind, or a question about felting and natural fibers. I love to hear about other journeys, and share knowledge! |
